Fluid Digital launches new ecommerce website for back care brand

Manchester agency Fluid Digital has launched a new international ecommerce website for a specialist back care brand.

The new website has seen online sales increase by 20 per cent following its launch in December 2018.

Back Pain Help provides stylish and effective back care products online to help people to reduce pain and deal with underlying problems such as poor posture.

The brand is owned and operated by leading national back care product company Handsome, which also supplies products to Boots, Lloyds Pharmacy and Harrods. It was established in 2013 by CEO Mark Critchley and founding director, John Sutcliffe, a surgeon at the London Spine Clinic.

Fluid was instructed by Handsome last year to develop a new website for the Back Pain Help brand with the aim of improving website performance and delivering a higher number of sales. Fluid delivered a custom designed and built Magento 2 website trading in the UK and US with development of the site only taking three months. Additional country specific sites throughout Europe are planned for phased release over the next six months.

The site has achieved immediately higher conversion rates, increased average order value, faster page load times and a reduced bounce rate, resulting in a surge in online sales.

Paul Gardner, head of ecommerce and digital (Europe) at Handsome, said it had been clear there was a lot of potential in the online Back Pain Help brand and this had been quickly realised with the launch of the new website.

He said: “Since our company’s launch in 2013 there have been huge shifts in the retail sector with exponential growth in ecommerce. We recognised that to harness that growth we would need to invest in our online Back Pain Help brand as most people suffering with back problems now look to the internet for the products that can help them.

“Fluid Digital had the experience in ecommerce growth we were looking for and the new website they have launched is generating fantastic results.”

Adam Hindle, managing director at Fluid Digital, commented: “The team at Back Pain Help really are at the forefront of their industry for their products and expertise so it’s been a pleasure to achieve this sales growth in such a short timeframe. We expect sales and conversion rate to grow further and will be providing ongoing support to ensure this is achieved.”
