If you are a designer or developer interested in ecommerce, there’s no better event to attend than Magento Live. Luckily for you, Magento Live is coming to the UK on the 14th and 15th July 2014!

Magento Live UK will be taking place at the Westminster Park Plaza, London between the 14th and 15th July.

After receiving millions of requests from developers worldwide, Magento decided to launch a series of community-driven events, known as Magento Live. For a while, these events only took place in the US, however back in 2012, the first UK event was hosted in London. After much success, Magento decided to put on annual events for UK based web designers and developers interested in the ecommerce platform.

Magento Live provides the perfect opportunity for individuals to get together to discuss Magento and all things ecommerce. Attending the event will allow you to learn more about the ecommerce platform and the team behind it. This year you will also be able to get a better insight into the much-anticipated Magento 2.

The Schedule

The pre-event will take place on 14th July 2014. There are a number of sessions taking place at the pre-event, as well as general registration, including a technical overview of Magento 2. As per tradition, a cocktail / networking event takes place in the evening, allowing attendees to get to know each other.

The main Magento Live UK event takes place on 15th July 2014. This is a full day event, jam-packed with various different sessions and workshops. The event starts at 8:00 with registration and ends at 18:30 after a cocktail and networking event. For more information about the various different sessions and workshops taking place, visit the Magento Live website.

The Speakers

One of the great things about Magento Live is that it is visited by a number of guest speakers. This year a number of speakers have already been announced including: Paul Boisvert, Director of Product Management at Magento, Brent Peters, CTO at eBay Enterprise and Max Yekaterynenko, Senior Manager Engineering at Magento.

Registration information

If you are a web designer or developer and are interested in attending Magento Live UK, there is still time to book your ticket. If you book before 28th June you will pay the standard rate of £299.00. Any tickets booked after this date will cost the last minute rate of £350.00, so it is definitely worth placing your booking ASAP!

The registration fee covers entry to all conference sessions, keynote and breakouts, additional conference activities, evening sessions and entertainment. Meals and beverages from Monday afternoon to Tuesday afternoon are also included in the price.

Are you a Magento enthusiast? Head to MageHack, a 24 hour event taking place before the official Magento Live event.

MageHack 2014

If you simply cannot wait for Magento Live UK, why not head to MageHack 2014? MageHack is a free twenty four hour development event that is sponsored by Magento and marks the official kick-off of Magento Live UK. The purpose of the event is to provide a fun, community environment for developers to learn and practice their skills. Throughout the event, Magento developers will be given the chance to pitch their ideas, work collaboratively as part of teams and build a prototype of a hack.

The event will be taking place on the 12th July and is being held in the same hotel as Magento Live UK (the Westminster Park Plaza). It will definitely be an interesting twenty four hour event, providing a fantastic experience for all those Magento enthusiasts out there.
