Cablecraft is the UK’s largest cable accessories supplier with over 30 year’s industry experience.
The retailer has a large product catalogue spanning cable marketing and printers, crimping and cutting tools, terminals and connectors, sleeving, accessories and more.
Objectives and targets
The retailer was in need of an experienced agency to migrate their ecommerce platform from Magento 1 to Magento 2. With Magento 1 end-of-life approaching soon, the retailer recognised the need to scale with a secure platform and identified Magento 2 as the best solution with the most potential.

The project
We fully redesigned the Cablecraft site when migrating to Magento 2, including a UX analysis and audit and refresh of the site’s look and feel. We worked with the team to understand the customer journey and design a site that was optimised for conversion but also sleek, clean and professional.
Cablecraft have also taken advantage of the Magento Commerce Cloud edition, utilising the platform’s cloud-hosted features. This has enabled rapid and continuous deployment of capabilities for the retailer, and has given the site a greater deal of customisation and security, which is especially important for B2B ecommerce.
As a result, the team have been able to focus on growth. B2B-specific features have included customised pricing for approved account customers and technical integrations have included an integration with ProfIT+.
PPC
We also worked with Cablecraft to create supporting Google Ads campaigns to boost online revenue and conversion rate.
We created and managed product feeds for the retailer to be used across digital advertising efforts and managed their campaigns before and throughout the site launch process, achieving site-wide ecommerce success.
