Meet Fluid Commerce’s new account director – Rebecca Conaty

Fluid Commerce has promoted Rebecca Conaty to the position of account director. Find out more about Rebecca and her experience.

Fluid Commerce is delighted to announce that B2B and D2C ecommerce specialist Rebecca Conaty has been promoted from the position of account manager to account director, putting her in prime position to lead our clients’ online growth.

Rebecca brings a wealth of experience to the role and is highly experienced in managing Magento Open Source, Hyvä, Shopify Plus and Adobe Commerce ecommerce projects and support contracts.

To find out more about Rebecca and her expertise, read our Q&A below:

1: How many years of experience in B2B and D2C ecommerce do you have?

I’ve been working in ecommerce for 10 years now, with that time spanning both D2C and B2B work, as those are the markets we primarily focus on now at Fluid Commerce. A lot has changed during this time, Covid was really eye-opening, as it changed so much in the online shopping world.

2. How long have you been at Fluid and what do you like about the agency?

Five years. The team is great, with a lot of knowledge and experience, so I can really lean on that to provide the best support and long-term growth strategy for clients. Also, how we embrace new technology and look to get ahead of the game continues to impress me, and this not only benefits us as an agency, but also improves our offering to clients.

3. What do you love about working with the B2B and D2C ecommerce industries?

I really like the variety of clients we work with across industries, which exposes me to diverse business challenges and helps me identify the best solutions. It’s rarely one-size-fits-all. I also enjoy getting stuck into data analysis and using KPIs to develop ecommerce roadmaps that focus on improving ecommerce companies’ online performance.

4. What are some of your proudest achievements?

Winning awards with some of Fluid’s big B2B and D2C clients, and seeing all the hard work pay off. More recently, managing Fluid Commerce’s  Numa Style project, which saw a complete refresh of their existing theme and introduction of new features, offering a more modern and high-end shopping experience to their customer. We’ve seen some really good results so far too. Another proud achievement was helping our client Gecko, a jewellery wholesale company to migrate successfully from Adobe Commerce to Shopify Plus.

5. What do you see for the future of B2B and D2C ecommerce?

Both the B2B and D2C ecommerce spaces are converging on the same realisation – that both sets of customers want to be provided with a seamless and non frictional online experience, even though their initial goals and issues to resolve may be different. As a result, I think the gap between the approaches taken by both markets will continue to narrow.

Both are likely to take further advantage of AI software and platforms, focus increasingly on personalised customer journeys, and, for B2B in particular, self-service capabilities.
