Fluid Digital Wins B2B Ecommerce Website of the Year for 2019

We are proud to announce that Fluid Digital has been awarded B2B Ecommerce Website of the Year 2019 at the UK Ecommerce Awards! Our team has worked tirelessly with the team at Whispering Smith this year to produce a streamlined, attractive and user-friendly website. And our hard work has definitely paid off.

Back in January, we announced that we had been shortlisted for the award, alongside three other nominees. In truth, we were delighted just to be nominated for the UK Ecommerce Awards. To win is a truly wonderful recognition of the hard work of each member of our team and our friends at Whispering Smith.

Prestigious awards

Taking place at the Montcalm Marble Arch in London last week, the UK Ecommerce Awards were a huge celebration of eRetailing and online business talent across the UK. We were among great company, not least Oh Polly on our table, who were shortlisted for Fashion Ecommerce Website of the Year.

Our team would like to congratulate all the winners and nominees for their hard work and success this year, including:

  • Find Me A Gift – B2C Ecommerce Website of the Year
  • Three UK – UK Ecommerce Mobile Site of the Year
  • Master of Malt – Food & Drink Ecommerce Website of the Year
  • Matalan’s Ecommerce Team – UK Ecommerce In-House Team of the Year

Collaborative efforts

It was a pleasure working alongside the team at Whispering Smith on this project, creating a website that we could all be proud of. Our key aims for their site were to:

  • Allow new customers to fulfil smaller orders than traditional quantities
  • Offer a convenient ‘shop window’ to existing clients for easy browsing
  • Increase site traffic through PPC and convert account registrations

Initially, we conducted research to discover more about the brand, ensuring our approach was in keeping with their image, ethics and overall message. According to our analytics, the average time between registration and purchase was 20 days, which gave us clear idea of what needed to change.

Since launching the new site, it has generated significant new account registrations and revenue. It has also generated larger orders through traditional sales channels and simplified the purchase process for mobile and tablet users. Our third objective was also achieved, as the site saw a growth of 354% in registrations since launch, with no signs of slowing down.

Looking forward to the future

Having recently celebrated a move to Manchester city centre, this win is a huge boost for our team and our clients. As always, we’re looking to the future with great excitement, with continuing plans to expand and grow our team.

Being awarded with the B2B Ecommerce Website of the Year 2019 is another sign of our determination and success in transforming our clients’ websites, building lasting working relationships and supporting customers through the entire process.
