4 Highlights from eCommerce Show North 2019

The eCommerce Show North is always one of our favourite events. And this year did not disappoint. Hosted in Manchester, the two-day event was a fantastic chance to hear from some of the leading experts in the ecommerce world.

The Fluid Digital team had an amazing time from start to finish. In this post, we’ll take a look at four key talking points from one of the biggest ecommerce events in the UK.

1. The power of the North West

Manchester is a powerhouse of ecommerce talent. That was definitely evident at the eCommerce Show North 2019. Held at the wonderful EventCity, we were thrilled to see the best of the best come together for a truly amazing event.

We may be biased, but Manchester is truly leading the way in the digital industry. The eCommerce Show North proved how Manchester’s brands are staying ahead of the curve, as the expo hall was full to the brim with innovative tech, VR, AR and AI demonstrations.

2. Fluid Digital takes the stage

We didn’t have to wait long to hear from Fluid Digital’s very own Adam Hindle. Our Managing Director took to the stage on the first day of the event to tackle everything Magento.

He spoke about making the move from Magento 1 to Magento 2 and all the benefits that come with it. Adam discussed how ecommerce businesses can drive growth and measure success year on year by migrating to the new platform. Afterwards, the whole team had the opportunity to answer questions and speak in more detail with business owners.

3. Industry leading seminars

Adam wasn’t the only speaker filling attendees with ideas and inspirations. Representatives from big name brands such as MoonPig, Google and Gumtree all had their own slot in the keynote theatre. It was great to hear from leading experts across the board, who shared their valuable expertise and knowledge.

With so many exciting speakers and thought-provoking seminars, we were spoilt for choice over the two days. Our team really enjoyed the collaborative aspect of the event and came out of each talk feeling more rejuvenated and motivated for our upcoming projects.

4. Incredible networking

It was great to see so many familiar faces at the eCommerce Show North. The show gave us all a well overdue opportunity to catch up on all the latest industry updates and learn more about how to keep up with the stiff competition. Thankfully, our team got to speak to a whole host of interesting peers and really got into the nitty gritty ecommerce talk.

What’s more, it was amazing to see so many new faces. We took this as a chance to discuss how the Fluid Digital team can help businesses improve their websites and stay ahead of the crowd – whether it’s transforming your existing store or designing a unique, user-friendly Magento website.

Get ready for next year

After a jampacked two days, we can’t wait for what’s in store next year. Promising to be even bigger, the 2020 eCommerce Show North will return at Manchester Central. With a capacity for thousands of professionals, it’s set to be an unmissable show – definitely one to put in the diary.
