Who's the client?

Whispering Smith is the UK’s leading fashion wholesaler, supplying the latest innovative fashion to the some of the largest online and high street retailers, including ASOS, Boohoo, Footasylum and New Look. The retailer has grown quickly, with new contract wins and the opening of showrooms across Manchester, London and New York.

The retailer needed an experienced ecommerce partner to support the growth of the business and approached us to build a new B2B site on Magento 2 and manage a PPC strategy to drive online registrations and purchases.

Whispering Smith was built on the Magento 2 Commerce platform and was one of the first sites in the UK to take advantage of the new Magento B2B suite of tools.

We built a powerful B2B solution that allowed the team to utilise core built-in B2B functionality, including custom catalogues. With this, their clients can view their exclusive product catalogues, and the Whispering Smith sales team can showcase products in catalogues whilst on-site visiting clients. This has generated larger orders than through their traditional sales channels and simplified their sales team’s ‘on the road’ process by allowing them to carry far less samples and easily display the full catalogues through mobile and tablet devices.

The team now have a feature-rich B2B site alongside managed paid search campaigns, to support their continued growth in the fast fashion market.

We also worked with Whispering Smith to drive high quality, conversion-ready B2B traffic to the site through Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. We set a target maximum cost per acquisition of £30, to maintain profitability with a strong ROI, with account registrations as the key measurable conversion.
